The Aggregation Summit

Leading the Aggregation narrative >>

Project Summary

Tasked with creating Polygon’s premier go-to-market AggLayer event, Aggregation Summit brought together crypto’s brightest minds in one place to discuss the future of aggregation and how to solve fragmentation across the industry.

Across two expansive days, the conference featured deep educational workshops, compelling thought leadership programming, curated side events, an aggregation partner village, a pop up food hall, and mindful activities designed to revitalize attendees throughout the experience.

Aggregation Summit was Polygon’s flagship go-to-market event for AggLayer, a new interoperability protocol designed to unify fragmented blockchain ecosystems. The two day conference brought together leading builders, researchers, and founders across Web3 to explore aggregation, zero-knowledge technology, and the future of cross-chain infrastructure.

Hosted in Bangkok ahead of Ethereum’s Devcon, the inaugural event welcomed more than 1,500 developers, founders, and ecosystem leaders to collaborate on the next generation of scalable blockchain infrastructure.

The Challenge

Web3 has grown into a powerful but fragmented ecosystem of chains, liquidity pools, and developer communities. Polygon needed a flagship industry moment that could:

• Introduce the AggLayer vision to the global developer ecosystem
• Bring together competing L1 and L2 builders into one collaborative forum
• Position Polygon as the central convener of the aggregation movement
• Generate momentum ahead of Devcon week in Bangkok.

My Role

Lead Project Manager

I led the end-to-end planning and execution of the conference in partnership with executive co-producers:

• Sandeep Nailwal — Founder, Polygon
• Leon Stern — Chief Marketing Officer

Key responsibilities:

• Led cross-functional coordination across 24 internal and external collaborators
• Oversaw production agency, venue operations, design teams, marketing, developer relations, and community teams
• Managed partnerships with ecosystem sponsors, speakers, and protocol teams
• Directed the event narrative, attendee experience, and ecosystem programming
• Delivered the full event within a $750,000 budget including marketing, design, and advertising

Teams managed included:

• Marketing and Growth
• Developer Relations
• Founders Community
• Production Agency
• Venue Management
• External Design Agency
• Ticketing Platform and Registration Operations

The Experience

  • Aggregation Summit was designed as a builder-first conference, blending deep technical programming with community-driven experiences.

    Highlights included:

    • Two days of workshops, panels, and technical talks focused on interoperability, ZK infrastructure, and cross-chain innovation
    • A curated speaker lineup including leaders from Polygon, Offchain Labs, Avail, Espresso Systems, Google Cloud and other core ecosystem builders
    • Interactive formats such as live debates, founder pitch sessions, and game show-style programming
    • A dedicated Aggregation Partner Village featuring ecosystem projects and infrastructure providers
    • Community-driven activities, including run clubs, yoga sessions, and networking activations

The goal was to create an environment where serious technical discourse and genuine community energy could coexist.

The Result

The summit quickly became one of the most talked-about gatherings of Devcon week.

  • 1,500+ attendees from across the global Web3 ecosystem

  • Leading founders, infrastructure teams, and researchers in attendance

  • Major ecosystem announcements and integrations were revealed during the event

  • 65,000+ Live stream participants

More importantly, the summit helped crystallize the narrative around aggregation as the next step for scalable blockchain infrastructure.

1,500+ Attendees ~ 65,000 Global livestream participants ~ 19 Ecosystem sponsors ~ 8 Curated side events ~ 50+ Speakers across builders, founders, and researchers ~ 24 Cross functional collaborators managed ~ $750K Total production and marketing budget

Impact

Aggregation Summit positioned Polygon as more than a protocol.

It established the company as a convener of the Web3 ecosystem, bringing together competing builders to collaborate on a shared future.

For many attendees, the event marked the moment when aggregation shifted from theory to movement.
